The SecuriTEST R171000 from Trend Networks is a digital testing
device that can be used with digital/IP, HD coax and analogue CCTV
camera systems, and also tests the status of the PoE (Power
over Ethernet). A single SecuriTEST device can supply power,
configure the cameras, and document the job by creating PDF
reports. This makes installation & testing jobs quicker, easier
and much more cost effective.
Connecting the Camera
The SecuriTEST R171000 has 4 options when viewing and testing
security cameras:
BNC: Used to connect to all common analogue & HD-over-coax
systems via a coax cable
RJ45: Used to connect to digital/IP systems via a cat5/6 cable
(with PoE+ up to 24 Watts)
Wi-Fi: Used to connect to Wi-Fi cameras that may not be hard
wired into the network
RS485: Used to control & program Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras
& monitors
These multiple connection options completely eliminate the need
for installers to take different testers with them to jobs with
several different cameras on the network.
Power the Camera
Whether the job requires full camera installation, or just
troubleshooting an existing set up, the SecuriTEST R171000 supports
all power requirements for an IP or analogue setup.
12V DC: Power the camera using 12V DC from the testers Li-Ion
battery - 2.5mm to 3.5mm barrel connector
PoE+: Power PoE cameras over a single cat5/6 cable from the
testers Li-Ion battery (up to 40 Watts)
PoE+ Pass Through: Power the camera by passing PoE+ from the
network and through the tester - RJ45 port
Once fully charged, the SecuriTEST R171000's lithium-Ion battery
has enough power for 10 hours continuous use. Additionally, PoE+
power can be passed from the network, through the tester to a
connected camera, reducing battery consumption.
Camera Setup
The SecuriTEST R171000 offers a comprehensive range of ONVIF and
non-ONVIF camera setup tools to ensure the camera is installed
correctly:
Configure camera: Update camera information and network
settings
Aim and focus: Use the high-resolution touchscreen or the hard
keys when wearing gloves
Program presets for PTZ cameras: Program PTZ camera presets for
users to automatically look at
predefined areas
Take snapshot: Save video snapshots including preset locations
for your installation reports
Record video clip: Record video clips to demonstrate complete
coverage for PTZ cameras
Analogue and HD cameras can also be set up quickly and easily,
with options including video adjustment, PTZ protocol settings, and
a test pattern generator to adjust screens.
Professional Reports
When using the ONVIF protocol, the SecuriTEST R171000 allows
installers to generate professional and detailed reports directly
from the jobsite. These can be sent directly from the tester using
email,
your preferred file sharing service or be exported on microSD
card.
