Quick guide to show you how to find your network details on a Windows PC or MAC

This is a quick guide to show you how to find your network details including your computer's IP address and your network gateway and DNS server addresses using either a Windows PC or a MAC.

How to find the gateway address and other network details on a Windows computer

1. Open the network connections window by pressing the windows key + R and typing ncpa.cpl then pressing ok

2. Right click on the local network or Ethernet icon and select status then click details

This will show you your IP address, gateway, and DNS server address

How to find the gateway address and other network details on a MAC

1. Go to system preferences then select Internet

This will show you your IP address, gateway (Router) and DNS server address
